Playing with Drupal

Submitted by admin on Fri, 05/23/2008 - 11:25.

I've been playing with Drupal, off and on now, for about 5 years. However, since our school's new website (going live any month now) is being built in Drupal, I decided to take the plunge and start learning the Drupal.

My tech skills are... well, they're amazing for a humanities guy. But in the tech world, that's not saying much! I can tinker with PHP, CSS, know HTML pretty well, and have done several LAMP installs. I can FTP or SSH in to a server and make some changes. I've dabbled in databases. In short, I know just enough to be really dangerous.

But thanks to the good folks at the Drupal in Education group at drupal.org, I'm stumbling my way through. There is so much to learn, but that's one of the reasons I moved into the tech field -- I love to learn! And I'm starting to get the power of Drupal and am really looking forward to building this site out.
